Carroll T. Davis, Jr., 62, of Leesburg has been identified as the person killed in a fatal Leesburg Loudoun Co. shooting that occurred on Friday, September 30, 2022.
According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, deputies went to the 21000 block of Evergreen Mills Road in Leesburg on Friday to check on a resident’s welfare. When the deputies arrived, they found a dead guy inside the house.
According to the police, the suspect, Mario R. Hernandez-Navarrate, 19, of Herndon, was apprehended after crashing the victim’s car in Fairfax County.
Virginia State Police detained Hernandez-Navarrate on unrelated grounds. Hernandez-Navarrate is accused of grand larceny and second-degree murder in this case.
Investigators claim that Davis and Hernandez-Navarrate were acquainted before the incident, but they have not disclosed what exactly happened to cause Davis’s death.
