Chris Julien, Suspect Arrested on Multiple Counts of Assault and Theft at Federal Highway, Stuart

On September 27, 2022, many woke up and intended to prepare for the landfall of Hurricane Ian. Chris Julien, 36, from Port Street Lucie, had other intentions.

September 27, Stuart Police responded to a hotel on SE Federal Hwy and found a victim had been attacked and robbed of their cell phone. The suspect, Julien fled just prior to Stuart Police Officers arriving on scene. Julien then immediately went across the street to another hotel, approached another victim and robbed them by sudden snatching taking their phone and personal items before fleeing.

Detective David Jacobson identified Julien and the vehicle he was driving. Fort Pierce Police located the vehicle and through their assistance, Julien was arrested. Detective Jacobson and Detective Pecci were able to obtain a confession from Julien. Julien told Detective Pecci he committed the robberies to obtain drug money.

Chris Julien was arrested for two counts of robbery without firearm or weapon and held without bond until first appearance.
