Chrissy Rouse Dead and Obituary, Cause of Death

Chrissy Rouse dies at 26 days after falling during a British Superbike Championship.

A statement confirmed: “Competitor Chrissy Rouse was racing at Donington Park (Sunday 2 October 2022) following an accident during race three of the Bennett British Superbike Championship at Donington Park.

The first lap of the crash fell hard and was inevitably knocked over by a rider immediately after encountering.. He suffered a serious head injury.

“The race was abandoned and he was immediately treated on the track by the BSB medical team before being transferred to the circuit medical centre.

“He was stabilized and placed in a medically induced coma at the medical centre before being transferred to Queens Medical Centre/University Hospital in Nottingham for further assessment and treatment. He underwent emergency neurosurgery shortly after admission.

“It is with great regret that we announce that Chrissy Rouse, 26, from Newcastle upon Tyne, passed away peacefully in hospital this afternoon in the company of his family from his injuries.

“On behalf of Chrissy’s family, they would like to express their deep gratitude for the support and well wishes they have received over the past few days. They would also like to thank all the marshals and medical services who were there for providing Chrissy with such competent and caring care. In The family is also seeking privacy at this difficult time as they try to cope with their devastating loss.

“MSVR is now working with the coroner, police and the Motorcycle Track Control Board to investigate the full circumstances of this tragic accident.

“We extend our deepest condolences to Chris’ family, friends and team members.”
