The body of the Whistler woman who went missing last month has been found, according to her family’s social media posts.
Clorrica Riggs, 29, was last seen on Tuesday, August 23, when she told friends she was going for a walk around 2pm. Her car was later found parked at the entrance to Rainbow Lake on Alta Lake Road.
In a September 25 Facebook post, Riggs’ sister Colleen shared the tragic news.
“I want to thank everyone again for helping the family find her. They are great people and I am so grateful to the volunteers and friends who took the time to find them,” she wrote. “Don’t forget to communicate with each other, and most importantly, be kind to yourself and each other. I will always keep my sister in my heart.”
Riggs was found on September 25, police confirmed in a news release on Monday, September 26.
That was a very unfortunate event, Cpl. Angela Kermer, Haitian media relations officer, said in a press release. We extend our condolences to Clorrica’s family and follow their example in thanking our community partners for helping to find her.
