The Fort Bend County Fairgrounds parade this morning was a lot of fun as I started the parade with all the other county mayors as this year’s Grand Marshal! It felt like more people lined up on the parade route this year, waving excitedly and enjoying the diversity of over 200 floats, bands and practice teams and participants.

As I said before, I have loved the Fort Bend County Fair all my life! We are fortunate to host one of the premier county fairs in the state.
Whether you’re new to the area or have been here for 86 years since the Fort Bend County Fair began, I hope you take some time to visit the fair, which supports our youth through agriculture, scholarships and education. Enjoy Richmond this weekend.
