Homicide detectives have identified a suspect in a shooting that left a 26-year-old man dead earlier this month in South Linden. An arrest warrant has been issued for Mercedes B.G. Reyes.
On September 10, 2022, at approximately 8:04 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1000 Block of East 13th Avenue on the report of a shooting. Officers arrived at the scene and found Shomari Little suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid until medics arrived and transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition. Despite receiving life- saving medical treatment, Mr. Little succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased at 9:35 p.m.
