A dad-of-three has been tragically killed and a community left reeling after his microlight aircraft crashed into a field.
Michael Flynn, a plumber in his 60s, was piloting the plane in County Clare, Ireland, before he lost control on Sunday afternoon.
He was pronounced dead at the scene in Miltown Malbay following the incident at around 4.45pm before firefighters, paramedics and police were dispatched, reports the Irish Mirror.
A death notice said: “Michael Flynn, Kilcorcoran, Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare, following a tragic accident.
“Beloved husband of Helen and loving father of Aoife & Oisin.”
Clare Councillor Shane Talty said the community will support Michael’s heartbroken family, who are being comforted by relatives and friends.
