ABC’s Celebrity Jeopardy airs its second episode on Sunday (October 2, 2022), with three stars – comedians Iliza Shlesinger and Reggie Watts and sitcom creator Eddie Huang – vying for grand prizes for their respective charities. However, some Jeopardy fans found the latest installment frustrating, claiming that players added “too much” comedy! Those critics said they didn’t appreciate the contestants’ one-liners and rhetoric — and it seemed that Schlesinger bore the brunt of the crowd’s complaints.
Some Jeopardy viewers called Iliza Shlesinger “disgusting.” Eliza was introduced as an actress and comedian in the film “On Paper”. She works for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. However, some viewers were increasingly annoyed by the way Schlesinger played.
Angry viewers have slammed Celebrity Danger season 1 episode 2 for ‘faking excitement’ over the show’s ‘nasty’ celebrities. Eliza appeared to brush off most of the bashing during the match because he “talked too much”. Watts for the Musicares and Huang, creator of Fresh Off The Boat and Innocence Project, don’t seem to be that much of a fan favorite. Or they keep it to themselves!
Poor Iliza Shlesinger seemed to bear the brunt of the complaints on Twitter. One person called the actress “annoying” and claimed she had to “turn off” the show. They added: I’m really looking forward to seeing this, especially Triple Jeopardy, but I can’t stand their [Iliza Shlesinger] antics for a full hour.
I’d rather be cannibalized while alive than see Iliza Shlesinger in another Jeopardy episode. The constant banter and extra comments are unnecessary. Stop acting stupid. I tried watching #CelebrityJeopardy but #IlizaShlesinger sent me around the corner with her antics. No, can’t stand an hour.
However, some viewers seemed to find all the celebrities annoying and wanted the trio to “merely” answer that question without “all the riffs.” Reality Titbit has contacted Iliza Shlesinger for comment. Eliza played very well. She won $2,500 in the first round and $6,600 in Double Jeopardy. She took home more than $13,000 in the Triple Jeopardy bout and finished Final Jeopardy with $14,401. All for the charity of their choice.
Like it or not, Shlesinger will now be in the semifinals of Celebrity Jeopardy with episode 1 winner Simu Liu.
