The Bonifay Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a homicide that occurred at approximately 11:45 PM last night, September 17, 2022.
The shooting victim, identified as Jimmy Junior McCullous, black male, 53 years-of-age, of Bonifay was found by a motorist in the eastbound lane of US Highway 90 near the Grocery Outlet shopping center.
McCullous suffered what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. McCullous was transported by Holmes County EMS to Doctor’s Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
