Joey Phalin Death and Obituary, Longtime JR’s bartender Joey Phalin is Dead, Cause of Death

Joey Phalin, Longtime JR’s bartender, has passed away unexpectedly, leaving family, closer relatives and other loved ones in total devastations and sadness. Circumstances surrounding his sudden demise have not been made known to the public at the time of filing this report.

“Joey spent nearly two decades behind the bars at both Cobalt (2002-2006) and JR’s (2006-2021), and was a regular figure on 17th Street and in DC’s Dupont Circle Neighborhood. During his time at JR’s, Joey made amazingly strong connections with everyone he met.”

“Joey is survived by his loving fiancé Andy, his dog Bouncer, his family, and innumerable friends. On behalf of the JR’s Bar family, and indeed the entire Washington, DC service industry, we ask that you keep them in your thoughts at this time.”

“JR’s will be hosting a ‘Celebration of Life’ for Joey on Saturday, 17 September 2022 from 4PM until 8PM.”

We ask that you call ahead, to the family to respect this time of bereavement instead of just dropping in or passing by the family home. All official arrangements, will follow at a later date.

Friends, colleagues, officials and veterans are sending their condolences and tributes to the family in respect of his death. He will greatly be missed by everyone.
