A Louisville man has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing a 48-year-old in July.
Jorge Ortiz Parra was arrested and charged with murder and assault in connection to a double deadly shooting on Southside Drive.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the man who was killed as 48-year-old Emilio Martin Suarez.
Police said that Ortiz-Parra got into an argument with Suarez and another man over money at an apartment on Poplar Level Road on July 7.
Ortiz-Parra then followed the men to a home on Southside Drive and started shooting, according to court documents.
Martin-Suarez was pronounced dead on the scene, while the other man was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Ortiz-Parra is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.
