Jovit Lasin Baldivino (born October 16, 1993) is a Filipino singer and actor. He was the inaugural winner of the reality TV show “Philippines’ Got Talent” in 2010.
Jovit Baldivino comes from a poor family in Batangas. He used to sell siu mai at the market after school to fund his studies and help his family. He competed in the first season of Pilipina’s Got Talent to finish his studies and lift his family out of poverty. He said he believes winning the 2 million pesos prize will make his dream come true.
Valdivino studied criminology at Batangas State University. He wants to be a lawyer like his uncle.
His daughter with ex-girlfriend Sarah Chavez was born in July 2016.
In October 2020, some of Jovit Baldivino’s hits “Pusong Bato” and “Ika’y Mahal Pa Rin” resurfaced on social media. They were then remixed with K-pop hits like “Psycho,” “What Is Love?”, “Ice Cream” and “Dynamite” by Red Velvet, TWICE, Blackpink and BTS, respectively.
To add to the online frenzy, another remix was uploaded, combining Justin Bieber’s “Baby” with Valdivino’s “Ika’y Mahal Pa Rin” and chorus in his song. Filipino netizens are obsessed with these remixes because while the verses and choruses of Baldivino’s songs fit perfectly with parts of other songs, they are also hilariously combined.
