Laderik Fountain Death and Obituary, Victim Identified in Oakwood Terrace Apartments Homicide
Family identifies the victim in Wednesday’s fatal shooting at the Oakwood Terrace Apartments as 40-year-old Laderik Fountain. The shooting took place on Wednesday September 14, 2022, afternoon at the apartment complex on Truman Avenue.
“He was loved by all that came in contact with him,” Fountain’s cousin Marcus Fountain stated on Friday. “His sense of humor could make your sad day a happy one. It’s a devastating loss to the community — another black male taken away by violence.”
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office has not yet identified any suspects in the homicide. Fountain’s cousin says Marcus lived at the apartment complex.
