A man is dead after a horrible shootout in the Jacobs neighborhood.
LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said the shooting happened at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday September 24, 2022 in the 3000 block of Manslick Road, near 7th Street Road and Berry Blvd.
That’s where officers found the victim, who had been shot. He died at the scene. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identifies the man as 29-year-old Latroy Swain Jr.
The LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating. There are no suspects. Anyone with information that could lead to an arrest is asked to call the anonymous tip line at 574-LMPD (5673)
