Mayyas makes a dazzling return to America’s Got Talent.

The Lebanese Dance Company won the Golden Bell Award from Modern Family actress and judge Sofia Vergara for a blockbuster performance in the semifinals. On Tuesday night, her hypnotic dance performance was well-received by the live audience.

The crew performed serpentine routines, dressed in gold bodysuits and masks, while the lead dancer wore a Bedra-esque outfit with a gold skirt and green long-sleeve top. Like their previous appearances on the American talent show, they danced to a selection of Arabic music.

Halfway through the performance, the main dancer jumped away, made serpentines with their hands, and depicted a message in Arabic, which translated: “His soul and my soul, my soul and his soul, see two The soul exists in a body.”

They received a standing ovation from the four judges – Vergara, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel. Vergara attempted to climb the podium to enter the group before taking the stage with host Terry Crews.

“I promise you that this moment is going to be remembered by every single one of us in this room,” Cowell said of the performance.

“Not only will it change your life, but it sounds very dramatic, and it’s a show that’s going to change the world. It’s the best…respect.”

The group received strong support from crowds carrying signs reading “Vote for the Mayans” and waving Lebanese flags.

In June, Beirut’s troupe of performers were rushed to perform live when Vergara pressed the golden buzzer and told them: “This is the most beautiful and creative dance I’ve ever seen.”

After the first round, the group returned to Lebanon with its founder and choreographer Nadim Cherfan, who told The National that they had already had rehearsal sessions.

“Every day we’re in the studio from afternoon to midnight. We don’t leave until the power goes out,” he said.

The finals will be broadcast on September 13-14.

This isn’t Mayya’s first talent show. The group won Season 6 of Arabia’s Got Talent in 2019 and competed in Britain’s Got Talent: Championship that same year. Her “Arabia’s Got Talent” victory came with a new car and 200,000 Saudi riyals ($53,333).
