DEVELOPING: BCPS confirms that McArthurHighSchool in Hollywood is on lockdown while police respond to a situation on campus.

Hollywood, Florida. (WSVN) – MacArthur High School has been on lockdown.

Hollywood police arrived at the school at 6501 Hollywood Boulevard on Friday to respond to the situation on campus.

7Skyforce hovered over the scene, where a large number of police and firefighters were at the school.

Police did not say why the school was closed.

In Texas cities with smaller student populations, it is more common to see high school students in cheerleading and marching or dance teams and ROTCs. Not so much in big cities. But one hard-working San Antonio teenager proved you can actually do both, and do it well.

Carson Zimmerman is a junior at MacArthur High School in San Antonio within Northeast ISD. He’s an impressive boy who recently gained attention on Facebook when a photo showed him wearing a football uniform while leading a marching band as a drummer. Posts on the social media platform called Zimmerman proof that “you can have both.”
