Law enforcement agencies respond to shooting threat, person with weapon claims inside the Lourdes High School campus Wednesday

Investigations Today – A large number of police officers
with the police department in Rochester, Minnesota, are
responding to a report of a possible armed person at the
Lourdes High School on Wednesday morning September 21,

According to the law enforcement agencies, the Lourdes
High School located at 2800 19th St NW, Rochester, has been
placed on immediate lockdown as officers respond to the
campus for active investigations.

The department says a shooting threat and a possible armed person report were received at the early hours of Wednesday morning.

According to Amanda Grayson, who works for the Rochester
Police Department and is in charge of crime prevention and
communication, officers are currently searching the school

Grayson says that at this point, the public doesn’t
know much about what’s going on and that law enforcement
is working to figure out what’s going on.

Parents and residents are urged to avoid the school area at this time as the investigation is ongoing. According to the Rochester Police, have been no confirmed reports of shots fired or weapons on campus at this time.
