This is a disaster. Pray for Tua. Fire the medical staffs and coaches. I predicted this and I hate that I am right. Two concussions in 5 days can kill someone. This can end careers. How are we so stupid in 2022.
Another week, another roster of notable NFL players whose health is a good talking point. Dak Prescott started a week ago when he didn’t rule out Sunday’s game after the stitches were removed on his surgically repaired thumb. Prescott is eager to get back on the court after watching teammate and backup Cooper Rush lead the Cowboys to two wins over the past two weeks.
Prescott isn’t the only notable player battling injuries. Christian McCaffrey attends Panthers workout to care for a hamstring injury. Tua Tagovailoa’s status was questioned for Miami’s Thursday night game in Cincinnati, even though he was reportedly expected to play.
Keenan Allen is looking to play for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury in the Chargers’ season opener. Jets fans hope Zach Wilson makes his season debut this Sunday in Pittsburgh, and Steelers fans are praying for Minka Fitzpatrick after entering concussion protocol.
Here’s a look at each of those injuries, along with all the other major injuries heading into Week 4 of the NFL regular season.
The Dolphins have to be wary of various injuries this week. Their left tackle Armstead was questioned with a toe injury, as were two wide receivers, Waddell and Wilson. Both are limited participants on Tuesday and Wednesday. Both Waddle and Armstead will reportedly be in the game.
The headline is of course Tagovailoa dealing with back and ankle issues. Despite being officially considered problematic, he is said to be playing. He said on Wednesday that he wanted to play, and he has been limited in the past two practices. Star cornerback Howard was also limited Tuesday and Wednesday with groin and hip issues.
Reader and Sample didn’t practice for the Bengals at all this week, so it’s no surprise they were ruled out for Thursday night’s game. Cynthie will definitely want his right tackle Collins in the starting lineup. He missed training on Monday and Tuesday but returned as a regular participant on Wednesday — a good sign for his form. As for Pratt, he has been a full participant in the last two workouts after being restricted on Monday.
