Who is Reginald Kimbro? Where is Reginald Kimbro now? Charges Explored

Convicted killer and serial criminal Reginald Kimbrough has been found guilty of murdering two women in North Texas. Kimbro pleaded guilty earlier this year to the April 2017 rape and murder of Molly Matheson, 22, and Megan Getrum, 36. The deal helped him avoid the death penalty. Instead, he was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

However, the verdict drew criticism, especially from the victims’ families, who also criticized law enforcement for not punishing Kimbrough in earlier years because several women had filed sexual assault reports with him. Also, it took five years to convict him after the murder, despite DNA and circumstantial evidence linking him directly to the case.

The Reginald Kimbro case has been in the headlines for years, and now NBC will have dateline Josh Mankiewicz covering the case and his crimes in connection with the 2017 murder. The episode, titled Wreckage, will air on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 9 PM ET.

Series r*pist Reginald Kimbro has a history with Molly Matheson. The two first met at the University of Arkansas, where they briefly dated. However, the two were not in contact at the time of the incident.

Molly’s mother, Tracey Mathison, reportedly found her body on the bathroom floor and showed signs that Kimbrough was trying to get rid of the evidence. But he apparently left behind key evidence that ultimately linked him to the murder. According to the official press release.

About a week after Molly Mathison’s murder, Reginald Kimbrough sexually assaulted and strangled 36-year-old Plano woman Megan Gertrum as detectives were investigating him, sources say . Getrum was attacked on April 14, 2017, while walking in the nearby Arbor Hills Nature Reserve. A few days later, she was found dead in Lake Rayhubard.

Using DNA evidence, witness statements and identification, investigators were able to link Kimbro to the crime. They also managed to park him in the parking lot of the nature reserve while the alleged victim was attacked.
